We've been recognized, within the Accounting, bookkeeping and app industries, for delivering outstanding support to small businesses.
Dext took home the gold at Xerocon Nashville winning Small Business App of the Year at Xero’s prestigious awards ceremony on 15th August. The awards evening, an intimate dinner that celebrated all Xero Award finalists, showcased the achievements of the apps, accountants and bookkeepers supporting the US small business community.
Xero’s Small Business Insights data has highlighted that small business sales have been on the decline in the recent past. In fact, nearly all of 2023 showed a decline. As a result, now more than ever they need the support of accountants, bookkeepers and apps to mitigate the impact of such economic challenges.
There were nine trophies up for grabs for US-based accountants, bookkeepers and apps. Whilst Dext took home Small Business App of the Year, two awards went to Dext partners. Trigger scooped Bookkeeping Partner of the Year and Aprio won National Partner of the Year.
Over the border, our Canadian partners scooped four Xero awards. ConnectCPA LLP took home Accounting Partner of the Year and Avalon Accounting was named Bookkeeping Partner of the year, whilst MNP won National Partner of the Year and Twenty Eighty scooped Advisory Innovator of the Year.
This year’s judging panel was made up of Xero leadership, along with guest judges from the Xero community and industry leaders. All winners exemplified both key technological adoption and implementation as well as trusted advisory services for their clients, while maintaining stellar external reputation and internal satisfaction.
Ben Richmond, Managing Director, North America, Xero said, “Every time we host the Xero Awards, I’m reminded of why I got into this profession. They highlight just how passionate our accounting, bookkeeping and app partners are, and how much they help small businesses day in and day out - operationalizing their processes, implementing new technologies and giving them the power to take their businesses by the reins.”
Rachel Fisch, Dext’s General Manager, North America, said, “We’re incredibly proud to be recognized by Xero as the Small Business App of the Year, following our win at the UK awards earlier this year.
“This is a really exciting time for Dext, our partnership with Xero and our customers. As we continue to grow and evolve our platform and solutions, we look forward to what the future holds and, hopefully, scooping more wins.”
Putting our money where our mouth is, this week we launched our Supplier Statement Extraction feature to all Prepare users. For Xero users, the feature also includes the ability to cross-reference invoices already in Xero with those in Dext, as well as those that aren’t in Xero yet.
Accountants and bookkeepers wanting to learn more can join our webinar - Enhanced Bookkeeping Efficiency: Managing Supplier Statements with Dext & Xero. Dext’s Hayden Hadder will be joined by Allan Davidson from Xero, exploring how to streamline workflows by using Dext’s invoice capture automation and supplier statement extraction with Xero’s accounting and payment tools.
