1. Upload

Upload receipts, invoices and bank statements via our mobile app, email or auto-invoice fetch. We also collect itemised transactions from a myriad of retailers, marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, point-of-sale systems, payment providers and more.

2. Process

Using AI, Dext then extracts all of the relevant data – with over 99% accuracy – so it’s ready to categorise and manage within our platform. We’ll also categorise that data for you based on previous transactions. 


3. Publish to Sage

Your data is now ready to publish to Sage. We connect with all major accounting software providers, and it takes a matter of seconds to set up a connection. Oh, and we also store your data securely for 7 years with bank-level encryption. 


How to set up Dext and Sage connection

By connecting Dext to Sage, you sync the Chart of Accounts, suppliers, customers, tracking categories, and payment methods between the two softwares. Everything fits together.

1. Synchronise your chart of accounts

Go to the Connections section of the sidebar, then click Integrations. Find Sage in the list of available software and click Connect.

2. Upload items to Dext

Add your documents through one of our many submission methods. Take a photo on our mobile app. Upload it directly from your computer. Or email it in. Other options are also available.

3. Let the magic happen

After adding your documents, Dext will extract the data you need. Once extraction is complete, you can find the item in the inbox of the ‘Costs’ or ‘Sales’ workspaces or the ‘Processed Statements' section of the Bank workspace.

4. Review and edit

Double check to make sure all the information you need is there. You can edit and add as you see fit.

5. Publish to Sage

When an item has all the correct settings and is ready to go, click the green ‘Publish’ button to send the item to Sage.
