One for the QuickBooks: Anything is Possible at QuickBooks Connect

Intuit’s QuickBooks Connect conference is one of the biggest events for Receipt Bank’s North American team, one we look forward to all year.

Accounting professionals and small business owners from across the US and Canada connect in San Jose, California for three days to network and learn about the top technologies shaping the accounting industry.

This year was special. It was the fifth anniversary of the conference, and we received our fifth year pin. But, it was also special because there was a feeling in the breakout sessions and on the exhibit hall floor. A feeling that we are on the cusp of something transformational for the accounting and bookkeeping landscape as a whole. The wave of digital disruption is coming. And at QuickBooks Connect, the accounting and bookkeeping professionals were there to learn how to ride it to success!

As always, QuickBooks curated a fantastic lineup of speakers. Top discussion themes included:

  • Strengthening client relationships and the power of saying “no”
  • Growing your firm through value pricing
  • Providing more than a service – an experience
  • How to become proactive, instead of reactive

And last but certainly not least, to quote Intuit CEO Brad Smith’s keynote address, “when we are all in this together, anything is possible.”

Our partners are at the heart of everything we do. We know that for them, anything’s possible when equipped with the right tools. From top-notch technology to education and support, Receipt Bank partners deserve all that and more. They also deserve the best QuickBooks Connect Partner experience.

TWO NIGHTS TO REMEMBER

To kick off the conference in true Receipt Bank fashion, we brought together over 120 of our current partners for an exclusive event at Morton’s the night before the conference began. Partners were welcomed by our very own CEO, Alexis Prenn, and had the chance to swap success stories, celebrate their accomplishments and productivity transformations, plus learn about our newest product capabilities.

Paperwork Match, Bank Fetch, Bank Statement Extraction, Invoice Fetch, and an integration with QuickBooks Desktop were all announced during dinner to thunderous applause. The energy in the room that night was electrifying. Almost as if you could see the light bulb moments our Partners and ProAdvisors had as they began realizing how these new enhancements would propel them further along their efficiency journey.

But that’s not all! After a full day of demos in the exhibit hall and breakout sessions with industry leaders, we finished with a bang. Day 1 of the conference came to a close with over 400 Partners and ProAdvisors joining us for a sold out dinner, Firm of the Future panel discussion, and concert at Glass House in downtown San Jose.

BUILDING A FIRM FOR THE FUTURE

Tanya Hilts is the Founder of Cloud Bookkeeping Services in Ontario, an advanced certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, and a Receipt Bank Partner. Not only that, but we had the honor of witnessing her winning Intuit’s Firm of the Future competition at this year’s conference.

Tanya, her small business client Holly Trinkwon, 2017 Firm of the Future winner Lielette Calleja, and 2018 Finalist Michael Ly joined us for our sold out party at Glass House for an expert panel led by Receipt Bank’s VP Global Accountants Program, Damien Greathead, and Darren Root. They all discussed best practices in their own firms that allowed them to build a firm for the future.

Over 35,000 partners worldwide make Receipt Bank a part of their journey to success in this digital age and in fact many of our partners are the ones shaping the future for the industry.

We are thrilled to be a part of Tanya’s success!

TEAM ORANGE

For the Receipt Bank team, QuickBooks Connect meant seeing record-breaking results after months of hard work in preparation. Colleagues from London, Australia, and Bulgaria joined the North American team this year in San Jose. We knew it was going to be a big show and we were ready.

Before the conference even began, conference goers made it a priority to book in time with us to see a demo. Accounting professionals who had heard the Effortless Bookkeeping buzz got to see us in action and Partners who had only ever spoken to their Account Manager on the phone got to meet in person.

Armed with orange tees, amazing giveaways for everyone who stopped by, and a sincere desire to help accounting professionals on their productivity and efficiency journey, we are so proud of the collective efforts made by the global team to welcome over 130 new firms as Receipt Bank partners. It’s safe to say we had an absolutely amazing few days in San Jose and are already looking forward to QuickBooks Connect 2019!
