2024 has been an action-packed year for Dext, marked by continued innovation including 178 feature releases. From major new features and the enhanced Dext platform to smaller improvements that make a big difference, every update is designed to save you time, reduce errors, and give you greater control over your financial processes.
To add to this, just a couple of weeks ago we shared the incredible news of Dext’s acquisition by IRIS Software Group, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for our company, employees, and customers. Phase 1 is now live, offering a more modern, intuitive experience that’s easier for you and your team to use. Supplier statements for enhanced accuracy 📃
We’re always listening to our customers, and the new Supplier Statement feature is a direct result of your feedback. Designed to ensure complete, error-free supplier records, it makes tracking invoices and payments easier than ever—so you always know what’s been paid and what’s still outstanding. Since its launch in September, over 385k supplier statements have been processed in Dext.

Cost and Expense Approvals for greater financial control ✅
Dext Approvals helps businesses streamline the approval of employee and business expenses all in one place, enabling faster, more efficient reimbursements while reducing the risk of errors and fraud. It provides an easy, flexible way to enhance financial control, ensuring each transaction is verified and approved by the right people.

Mileage for speedier expense claims 🚘
Mileage in Dext gives business owners and their employees an easier way to submit claims for business-related travel. Users can simply enter the trip start and end locations. Dext will then automatically calculate reimbursable amounts based on distance travelled and government-approved rates, reducing manual entry and the potential for errors and saving you valuable time.

Dext Solo (🇬🇧UK only)
Dext Solo – for partners to use with self-employed clients – now includes new features to simplify transaction management. Bank Rules automatically categorise transactions for greater efficiency, while Bank Match intelligently links transactions to the correct Cost or Sales items.
This avoids double-counting and delivers ledger-like functionality, saving users valuable time and reducing errors. Additionally, Dext Solo is now officially recognised by HMRC as a software provider for MTD IT, reinforcing its position as a trusted solution for businesses preparing for the 2026 compliance changes.
